How Ample works.
Connect, set your payday, read the verdict, approve Moves, look ahead. Most people are through the first two steps in ten minutes.
Connect your banks
Link checking, savings, cards, loans and your mortgage servicer through Plaid. Connections are read-only: Ample can see balances and transactions, and it can never move money or see your bank password.
- Transactions sync every night and when you open the app.
- Pending charges are matched to the posted ones, so nothing counts twice.
- Card interest is tracked as a debt cost, not as spending.
Set up your paycheck
Tell Ample your official payday, your net pay, and how many days early your bank releases it. From that one anchor it lays out every payday for years ahead and knows which months carry three.
- Official payday: the date on your pay stub. Months are counted by it.
- Early release: if deposits land two days early, cash math uses the real landing day.
- Checking buffer: the floor you never want checking to dip under. It is kept before a dollar routes to savings.
Get the verdict and this paycheck’s plan
Every payday the Today screen opens with one word about the month and the chips that explain it: which category is over, what is pacing hot, whether the cycle covers its bills. Below it, the plan for this paycheck.
- Bills due before the next payday, assigned to this check.
- The buffer top-up if checking fell under the floor.
- What is left, and where the plan suggests it goes.
Severity follows materiality. A $3 overage is a chip, not a siren.
Approve Moves
Ample scans for concrete ways to free up money: a bill that crept up, savings earning less than it could, mortgage insurance you may no longer owe, a card payment timed a few days wrong. Each Move shows its arithmetic. You tap approve.
- Ample does it when the fix lives inside your plan.
- Checklist when it takes a few steps in the outside world.
- Letter when a servicer or lender needs it in writing.
See the year, and the years after
Reports show where the money went, month by month or as a flow from paychecks to categories. Plan shows where it is going: twelve months of budgets and actuals in one grid, and a year-by-year line to the end of your plan with scenarios you can compare.
- Cash flow, spending, income and net worth, each with a filterable list under the chart.
- A 12-month forecast where 3-paycheck months and mortgage halves fill themselves in.
- Long-range: retirement age, life events, two scenarios side by side.
Try it on your own paycheck.
The pilot is free while we build. Pricing after that is $4.99 a month, or $9.99 with Moves, and it is paid by you, not by lenders.
