LegalTerms of service
The agreement between you and Ample Money: what the Service is and is not, the pilot, subscriptions and cancellation, bank connections, your data, and the limits of our responsibility.
Effective September 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Ample app, this website, and related services (the “Service”), operated by Ample Money of Rancho Cucamonga, California (“Ample,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Ample is, and is not
Ample is software that reads your financial accounts (with your permission, through Plaid), organizes the data, and performs arithmetic on it: budgets, paycheck plans, projections, and suggestions we call Moves. Ample shows its work so you can judge it.
Ample is not a bank, a lender, a broker, an investment adviser, a tax preparer or a law firm. Nothing in the Service is individualized financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Moves are suggestions with the math attached, for you to evaluate. You decide, and you carry out any transfer, payment or request at your own institutions. Ample never moves your money. See the disclaimer.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and reside in the United States. You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Give us accurate information and keep it current.
3. The pilot
Ample is in a pilot. While it is:
- Every feature is available at no charge and no payment card is collected.
- Features may change, be added or be removed, sometimes on short notice.
- We may limit the number of participants and may end the pilot or your participation at any time; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before the pilot ends, during which you can export your data or choose a paid plan.
- You agree to use reasonable care with your own data (for example, taking an export before major changes) and to report problems you find.
4. Subscriptions after the pilot
When paid plans begin, they will be as shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe:
- Plans. Ample and Ample Pro, billed monthly or yearly.
- Trial. Each new subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. We do not refund partial periods except where required by law.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to you; continuing to use the Service after that date accepts the new price.
- Taxes. Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which will be added where required.
- Changing plans. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
5. Bank connections and third-party services
Bank connections are provided by Plaid Inc. By connecting an account you authorize Plaid to access it on your behalf and to transmit the data you select to Ample, and you agree to Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. Connections are read-only. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of data supplied by your financial institutions or by Plaid, or for an institution’s decision to limit or block access.
The Service uses other providers for hosting, database, email and AI model access, listed in the privacy policy. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we do not control them.
6. Your data
You own your data. You grant us a license to store, process and display it to the extent needed to provide the Service to you. You can export your data at any time and delete your account and data as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including home values, renovation costs, bill amounts and loan terms that Ample uses in its arithmetic.
7. Acceptable use
Do not: use the Service for anyone else’s accounts without their authorization; attempt to access another user’s data; interfere with the Service, probe or test its security without written permission, or circumvent rate limits; scrape or resell the Service; use it for anything unlawful; or upload malicious content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and the Ample name and mark, belongs to Ample Money or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial financial planning. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Projections, forecasts, Moves and other outputs are estimates based on assumptions and on data supplied by third parties; actual results will differ. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that outputs will achieve any particular financial result. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ample Money and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred dollars ($100). This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ample Money and its founder from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where practicable and, when the Service is discontinued, with at least 30 days to export your data. Sections 6, 8–11 and 13–15 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. [Attorney: consider whether an arbitration clause and class-action waiver are appropriate for this Service.]
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date accepts the change.
15. General
These terms, with the privacy policy and disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and Ample Money about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account.
